Brookwood School Report
Brookwood School were delighted to find out that they were Silver Award winners in the Procter & Gamble, Woking News & Mail competition which ran just before the end of term. They won £1000 towards their playground refurbishment. School Head, Jo Green, would like me to send thanks to anyone from Brookwood village who spotted the competition and sent in a vote for them.
Brookwood School Friends ‘FOB’s’ have a new fund raising initiative to replace Bag2School. They are collecting the following: All men’s, ladies and children’s clothing, Paired shoes (tied together), Handbags, bags, ties & belts Soft Toys, Blankets, Underwear to include socks, tights, pants and bras etc...Household textiles to include towels, bed linen, curtains etc… The school makes 50p for each kilo collected. If you would like to recycle any of the above items, please leave them outside the school (under the rain cover) in tied up bags and thanks.
Part-time Cleaner Wanted Term-time
The school are looking for a cleaner to join the team - term-time only. Three hours a week in the Children’s Centre and one hour a week in school. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8.30am to 9.30am Thursday and Friday Half an hour a day. £7.21 per hour. £1,246 per annum. 38 weeks per year. Free Logs for Brookwood Penshioners
Erkin Guney, Managing Director of Brookwood Cemetery is, for the third year running, kindly offering free logs to pensioners living on limited means in the Borough of Woking. All applications MUST be made via Age Concern Woking, who will arrange for collection and also ensure that a home fire risk check has been carried out on the property.

PIRBRIGHT TENNIS CLUB
The Autumn Dance is back, with the Monty Band on Saturday 12th November from 7.30pm to midnight at Lord Pirbrights Hall.
